| Spreadsheets for fitness progress | | I often see spreadsheets mentioned for tracking your progress in say fitness or weight loss, but from what I saw mentioned elsewhere it seems it would be more useful to say that a spreadsheet can help you set and reach goals. I'm very interested in this but can't find good examples of how to do this.Say if you are doing cardio plus weight lifting, you could log your sets and weight increases for the lifting and say number of hill challenges (be it biking or walking) for the cardio. Or number of times up the hill (I use a hill for training as I live below a steep one) or, I suppose, minutes in target cardio zone, though I don't do anything like that.I love to organize things but I am not the best at fitness stuff, so I would like some guidelines and suggestions how to make this work for goal setting. I get motivated when I can see a goal being gradually accomplished, or ticking off stuff from my to do list, so I think this would work for me.Anyone here used this type of system and have any useful suggestions and guidelines on this topic? | |

| google docs and google spreadsheets... | | do you know of this?? i have a gmail account and i want to upload some of my word docs and excel spreadsheets for others to access. does anyone here know about it?? | |
| | Anybody using Google Docs and Spreadsheets? | | Google recently introduced Google Docs and Spreadsheets, free Web-based word processing and spreadsheet applications. Has anybody tried these? Do they work well, and if so do you think they'll be a good alternative for people who don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on Microsoft Office? | |
| | Google Docs and Spreadsheets | | Is Google to take over the world?
First they were just a simple search engine and they introduced their webmail. Right now they are on the heels of Microsoft's Office program. They have introduced Docs and Spreadsheets and who knows what comes next. How about an online PowerPoint Presentation or an online Access program? What do you think of Google's Docs and Spreadsheets?

| | | How do you organise yourself here? | | I've just made a spreadsheet so I can track how long I spend on MyLot, how many discussions I start etc - so I can see what I did to earn the best amounts.Yes, I know we all come here for the laughs yadda yadda but those little amounts become an addictive in-cent-ive after a while, like drinking green tea in a Japanese restaurant - the cups are tiny, but there's golden nectar in every one; and one hell of a high! But what about your interests? Do you find, as I do, that going through page after page of headings that seem completely randomly placed (nothing's in alphabetical order) is as tiresome as tracking them down in the first place? Is there any way of tidying up my home page so it's easier to find what I'm looking for?And opinions, please, on the whole 'select interest from the following 3000 pages of totally non-alphabetical headings' thing. Anyone who can point me in the direction of the George Michael interest group, btw, will receive constant responses from me, whatever the subject. | |

| Do you keep records of your online earnings? | | I have decided that from now, I will be taking paid writing and other extra money I may/may not make online more seriously.
So I started a blog to somehow document what I'm doing and any possible income I might get from it.
I'm also keeping track of what I"m doing in a notebook I have for my online writing...And now I have a question.
How many of you keep track of what you earn online? And how do you do it? Writing it down in a notebook? some sort of computer file? you head only?
And if you don't keep track of it... Why not?
